Mamma Mabel's Inn

Every purchase funds our senior dog sanctuary

Mabel was a tripod hound who lost her leg to cancer and soon found herself surrendered to a Bladen County, NC shelter at 10 years old because her family could no longer afford her care.
Thanks to fate, Mabel landed in our NJ home as a hospice foster in 2018. We weren’t sure what to expect or if we could handle the task, but we knew we needed to do our best to allow Mabel to live out her golden years in the comfort of a home surrounded by love. Little did we know that Mamma Mabel would teach us about strength of character, compassion, and unconditional love.

We lost Mamma Mabel on October 4, 2021. She LOVED taking in fellow pups in need. She was a sweet girl with a silly personality and a knack for playing tricks on us. Because of Mamma Mabel, we know our calling is to help senior and special ability dogs live out their lives in comfort and with dignity. Every foster that comes to our sanctuary gets to hear our promise “you are loved more than you know and will never be alone again”.
